They have trails, a play pond and plenty of mud. Located on 574 acres, this park is is fun for all. Occasionally they hold separate Truck/Jeep/SUV only events. This park is open to ATVs, SxS and dirt bikes. The Enduro Trail offers 45 miles of additional riding with it’s own primitive campground. There is no water available, so plan accordingly.Ĭlaiborne has 70 miles of forest trails made up of 3 separate loops: This campground is primitive and has no amenities except vault toilets. You can access the trails directly from the campgound. The main trailhead and staging area is Loran Camp which is also where the campground is located. Hiking and mountain biking are allowed on the Claiborne and Enduro Trails, but they are primarily used for motorized traffic and horseback riders. Managed by the US Forest Service, these multi-use trails are open to ATVs, motorcycles and horses. They do have big plans for this park which include new bathrooms, a club house, more hook ups, cabins and additional trails. This campground doesn’t have an ideal bathroom setup, there are only 2 bath rooms and 2 showers for all campers.
But, there are very few scheduled events, so if you would like to ride this park, you will most likely have to call and make an appointment. Park is open on event days or by appointment only. If you like mud, visit after a heavy rain and you’ll find plenty of it. There is a dug in riding area with some short steep hills surrounding it for climbing and a wet mud hole or two depending on weather.
